The Home Stretch

My last entry for our Tasmania/Victoria trip!!!

After waddling with the pengiuns, we went trekking to the Pinnacles at Cape Woolamai. Charlee, Adam and Dave enjoyed a cool dip in the ocean before hitting the road and heading north.

A quick stop to say hi to some pelicans near Lakes Entrance!


We stopped in Bateman's Bay to visit with Nick and Mara Fomin and kids Alyssa and Alex.

Nick somehow convinced me to don his wetsuit and attempt to retrieve his lobster trap that he placed in the jagged rocks. No sightof the traps unfortunately.



Can't get enough of these coastal walks with weird rock formations and cool caves.


Off to dinner at the local lawn bowling club (seems odd to us Canadians but local clubs offer dinners, entertainment, fitness centres, bowling, babysitting,... )


Finally a quick visit with the Violins in Wollongong. Yet another boring view from the Violins kitchen! Time to head home after a wonderful two week holiday. Our next big adventure? The Great Barrier Reef!
